Primary seal acts as main seal, while secondary seal acts as safety seal √ Unidirectional or bidirectional available √ Shrouded mating ring prevents secondary damage in the event of a mating ring fracture √ Both primary and secondary seals have the capability of full product pressure. In the event of an primary seal failure, the secondary seal acts as an installed spare with full pressure capability √ No secondary seal gas supply(nitrogen) injection. Process gas has controlled the leakage across both sets of seal faces, and a small amount of process gas will leak from the secondary seal to the atmosphere √ Cartridge design makes installation and removal easy √ For applications without nitrogen supply where the process leakage gas needs to be recycled.
