Innovation lets Sinoseal Stand Out

       —— Innovation of dry gas seal for pipeline compressor of Sinoseal

Although the winter is coming, the good news spread again! The first set of one key start-up centrifugal compressor has been completed in Yesanguan, and the dry gas seal independently developed by Sinoseal has made new achievements!

West to East Gas Transmission, Sichuan to East Gas Transmission, China Russia Pipeline, China Myanmar Pipeline, and gas transmission pipelines stretching for thousands of miles deliver natural gas to thousands of households, which not only saves people from the trouble of burning coal, burning firewood, and changing gas tanks, but also is an important measure for the country to achieve the "carbon peak" and "carbon neutral" dual carbon goals and energy security.

However, people did not know that when the "West to East Gas Transmission Project" was officially launched in 2000, all the core components of compressors in the long-distance pipeline - dry gas seals were monopolized by imported products, and their technology was blocked layer by layer, forming a ring of encirclement, and domestic products could not break through the ring.

In April 2009, the National Energy Administration held a meeting in Shenyang, and the important task of domestic research and development of dry gas seals naturally fell on the shoulders of Sinoseal. Sinoseal people have risen to the challenge, set up a research project, set up a research team, went deep into the pipeline site, understood the operating characteristics of equipment, conducted technical exchanges with industry experts, collected equipment information, and explored pipeline sealing technology. From then on, Sinoseal technicians have been left behind in the vast Gobi Desert.

The dry gas seal of pipeline compressor has large shaft diameter, high pressure, frequent startup and shutdown, large working condition variation range, dirty gas source, and great technical difficulty of the product! Over the past decade, we have experienced dozens of technological innovations, three product iterations and upgrades,and developed a series of key technologies such as gas source pretreatment technology, NGS technology and electric booster skid.

In 2015, Fuling Station of Sichuan East Gas Transmission Project was successfully started;

In 2015, 15MPa domestic dry gas seal was successfully developed.

In 2018, the 15MPa domestic dry gas seal of Horgos Compressor Initial Station of West East Gas Transmission Line 2 was successfully started at one time;

In October 2018, Wuzhou and Hechi stations of China Myanmar pipeline were put into operation successfully;

In August 2019, Weizhou offshore platform pipeline compressor dry gas seal was successfully started;

In December 2019, Heihe Station, the first station of the China Russian pipeline, was put into operation successfully;

In November 2022, Shenyang Contact Compressor Station of the China Russian pipeline was put into operation successfully;

The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China clearly put forward the working requirements of "improving the overall effectiveness of the national innovation system", and the "three first" of science and technology, talent and innovation pointed out the direction and path for improving the overall effectiveness of the national innovation system. Entering a new stage of development, the key core technology of continuously breaking through the "stuck" is the focus of the work and research and development direction of Sinoseal.
